FootPrint3D supplies various types of filament for custom-made insoles, foil test shoes and orthopedic lasts. Our filament is made of high-quality materials that ensure an optimal balance between strength, flexibility and durability. The filament is consistent in quality and free from impurities, resulting in a smooth and reliable printing experience.

Our filament complies with MDR legislation and is suitable for the intended purpose, the safe production of custom-made insoles. The filament has been tested for toxicity and skin sensitization according to normative references: ISO 10993-5 (2009), ISO 10993-1 (2021) and ISO 10993-12 (2021).
Together with the 3D printer, we supply a special glass plate for 3D printing custom-made insoles. By using our glass print bed, the material adheres excellently during printing and the insoles are easy to remove afterwards.
3D printed custom-made insoles save costs compared to traditional production methods such as milling. Personnel costs decrease because you can produce unmanned and also because manual finishing has become redundant. In addition, you no longer need a large stock of milling blocks for production.
FootPrint3D supplies filament per spool of 2.3 kilograms. All you have to do is 1) place the spool on the spool holder and 2) properly attach the filament to the 3D printer.
One spool contains 2.3 kg of filament. On average, 23 pairs of insoles can be printed with this.
The filament we supply is thermoplastically deformable. This means that the custom-made insoles can be adjusted under heat. It is of course also possible to add elements afterwards. Special glue is needed that has good adhesion to TPU.
Filament is hydrophilic, which means that it extracts moisture from the ambient air. Moist filament is more uneven, breaks faster and has a negative impact on the quality of the custom-made insoles. We therefore advise you to prevent the filament from coming into contact with moisture. Therefore, store the filament in a dry room with minor temperature fluctuations. Leave the filament in the vacuum package for as long as possible before use. You can heat moist filament in an oven intended for this purpose.
