How many pairs of insoles can I print with one spool?

One spool contains 2.3 kg of filament. On average, 23 pairs of insoles can be printed with this.

How long does it take to produce 3D printed custom-made insoles?

Our 3D printing technology makes it possible to produce custom-made insoles in 60 minutes. Printing a pair of insoles takes an average of 2 hours.

Are adjustments of the insole possible with this filament?

The filament we supply is thermoplastically deformable. This means that the custom-made insoles can be adjusted under heat. It is of course also possible to add elements afterwards. Special glue must be used for this that has good adhesion to our exclusive filament.

Do you supply this filament in different colors?

At FootPrint3D we use the principle of 'colour on demand'. This means that for larger orders we can supply the filament in any desired RAL color. For you as a foot care professional, this offers opportunities to personalize the custom-made insoles to the practice's corporate identity. We would be happy to think along with you about the possibilities.

Is it possible to print custom-made insoles for an individual client?

Yes, our 3D printing technology makes it possible to create custom-made insoles for each individual client, providing better fit, comfort and support. Completely in line with your role as a manufacturer of custom-made medical devices within the MDR.

Are there any legal considerations I need to take into account when 3D printing custom-made insoles?

Yes, the MDR law applies to the supply of medical devices. 3D printing of custom-made insoles offers many advantages to comply with this legislation as a manufacturer of custom-made medical devices. Our workflow is designed to relieve you of this as much as possible. All our raw materials are demonstrably suitable for the intended purpose, namely the safe production of custom-made insoles. The FP3D CAD design software also contains a function to automatically generate an MDR consent statement. In addition, the technical possibilities of 3D printing naturally make it possible to print the MDR traceability number in the insoles. This means that sticking (loosening) stickers belongs to the past.
